The plan designed exclusively for franchisees affiliated with Le SuperClub Vidéotron is a comprehensive insurance coverage package that includes:

Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage

Life insurance provides the worker’s beneficiaries with basic financial protection in the event of that worker’s death, while the AD and D coverage provides an additional benefit in the event of accidental death or in the event of an accident resulting in paralysis, deafness, loss of a limb, loss of vision or speech.

The benefit is equal to a multiple of the salary or a fixed amount and offers generous evidence-free maximum benefit levels. Life insurance for dependents is also included.

Disability insurance

Disability insurance provides the worker with financial assistance if he or she is unable to work for an extended period due to total disability from an injury or illness. The benefits are paid after a period of 119 days and are equal to 66 2/3% of the salary. Payable to age 65, they supplement the benefits provided by governmental plans.

Medical insurance

This coverage helps workers and their dependents pay medical expenses that are not covered by the Quebec Health Insurance Plan.

The benefit entitlements for some services are limited to 80% and are subject to an annual limit. The direct-payment card is included. The main services covered are: hospitalization, paramedical services, diagnostic exams and laboratory tests, private-duty nursing, ambulances and travel insurance (up to 60 days).

Dental insurance is included and covers preventative and basic dental care, endodontic services (root canal therapy) and periodontal services (treatment of gum disease).
