What are the benefits of joining the plan?
Both you and your employees will benefit from the combined purchasing power of the Ordre and its member firms. This has allowed us to negotiate a truly unique group insurance plan, combining both premium discounts and enhanced coverage:
- First, Sun Life Financial offers reduced life insurance, short-term disability, medical and dental rates, through permanent discounts and reduced expense ratios.
- Secondly, Canada Life provides access to top quality disability insurance featuring benefits normally found in individual policies. These include an own-occupation definition of disability up to age 65, guaranteed benefit payout levels for partners and partial disability coverage.
Are there other benefits?
Yes! By joining forces with the other firms insured under the plan sponsored by the Ordre, you are no longer alone when it comes to negotiating your renewal or handling a difficult claim. Through The Vigilis Group, the plan administrators, you always have access to a team of specialists to defend your interests, regardless of the size of your firm.
Are the premium savings temporary?
No. The agreement negotiated is structured so that premium savings are recurrent. In this manner, participating firms remain customers for the long run and, as the group expands, this allows the Ordre to negotiate even more favorable conditions.
Must we join a pre-designed plan?
No. If you are satisfied with your present coverage, the insurers will replicate it. However, should you be considering changes to your present plan, our specialists will work with you to determine your needs and to identify suitable solutions.
Will we incur any special obligations by joining the plan?
No. Your relationship to the insurers will be the same as the one you already have with your current group insurer, if any.
